Berlin-born and Brussels-based Jan Burdinski is a seasoned government relations professional working in the automotive sector for the Hyundai Motor Company. He joined the fifth biggest car manufacturer in 2017 and heads their European Public Policy unit, covering all EU member states and Turkey.
Before joining Hyundai Burdinski worked for the No 3 in the global automotive industry –General Motors. After re-building the Berlin representation of their European subsidiary Adam Opel AG from 2012 – 2015 he took over the responsibility of working with the Turkish government on resolving legal cases and developing new business opportunities.
Prior to joining General Motors he operated his own boutique government relations consultancy in Berlin for more than 15 years, primarily working for US clients with a strong tech agenda.
Burdinski served as an advisory board member of Erdgas mobil in Germany (CNG) and actively works within the network of Hydrogen Europe, promoting gas as the future alternative fuel of choice.
With almost thirty years in party politics, Burdinski has served in various positions on a national and European level to promote free market ideas and individual liberty.
